In 2013, Reingold founded the nonprofit Military Family Advisory Network (MFAN) to support the well-being of the U.S. military community and empower military families. Reingold is committed to corporate social responsibility and has a special interest in Veteran and service member support, having served many military-related clients over the past 35 years. MFAN represents more than 2.2 million active duty service members and reservists, 3 million military family members, and 22 million Veterans and their families.

Since MFAN’s founding, Reingold has served as MFAN’s marketing agency of record. We coordinate strategic communications, including strategic planning, message development, website development, social media outreach, public relations, and event support. Reingold also has worked with MFAN to develop programs such as the MilCents financial education program. Our goal is to help military and Veteran families understand and use resources designed to serve them and acquire the tools they need for success; connect with leaders who can make a difference for the military community; and sustain the public’s appreciation and support for military and Veteran families.
MFAN’s mission is to understand and amplify the needs of military-connected families and inspire data-informed change. After its founding, MFAN needed a website to voice crucial information and updates for military families all over the country on the hot topics of military life. The website needed to serve a second purpose as well: to engage and inspire website visitors to donate. To help achieve the organization’s strategic goals, Reingold worked with MFAN to develop its original website and then redesigned, updated, and relaunched the website as MFAN.org in 2022.
Reingold considered MFAN’s target audiences and stakeholder priorities to create a robust, flexible, and eye-catching website. Through inviting language and an appealing design, the redesigned website introduces MFAN to a variety of audiences: military and Veteran families, elected officials, and organizations that support military and Veteran families. With a user-friendly interface and intuitive navigation, the website guides military families to crucial resources and amplifies key topics from MFAN’s biennial survey, the Military Family Support Programming Survey.
To encourage donations, we also included a visually prominent call-to-action button in the main navigation bar that leads to a page where visitors can immediately and easily complete a donation form.
Since the site’s launch in 2013, annual traffic has grown from just over 4,000 visits to almost 75,000 visits in 2023. From 2013 to May 2024, the website garnered 934,461 visits, 1,470,146 pageviews, and 803,926 new users, with traffic growing by an average of 394% each year.
