U.S. Department of Labor: O*Net
Client
O*NET is a dynamic, interactive workforce resource for employers, employees, job-seekers, and members of the workforce development community.
Challenge
The U.S. Department of Labor and the National O*NET Consortium needed to create and implement an outreach and marketing campaign to increase awareness of this free online tool.
Enter Reingold
For almost four years, Reingold helped build awareness about O*NET within the workforce development and trade communities, extending the hand of the Labor Department to reach employees, employers, and job-seekers on all levels. We began with a knowledge management strategic plan that defined the marketing and training needs for the O*NET Consortium, including an entire rollout strategy to various target audiences. Our team researched, wrote, designed, and produced the O*Net Business Incentive Kit to inform business executives and HR professionals about the benefits of O*NET. The kit encouraged employers to endorse and support their employees' participation in data collection surveys that populate the O*NET database with current, accurate occupational information. Reingold also helped O*NET redesign its website to reflect this new logo and look.
Results
O*Net garnered support from a diverse group of more than 400 leading trade and professional organizations, ranging from international groups to grassroots associations.
