Bright Beginnings, a developmental childcare center for homeless children in Washington, D.C., is an exemplary, multifaceted program providing a proven early childhood educational curriculum, therapeutic services, family services, literacy training, parent education, and other supports to build safety nets, resilience, and self-sufficiency.
Challenge
To fuel the organization's growth and development, Bright Beginnings needed to focus its mission forge a strategy for managing and funding its work.
Enter Reingold
Reingold led the organization in its mission refinement and program development, financial development, asset optimization and leadership mobilization, quality assurance and management, and infrastructure development and growth planning. Specifically, we developed a "Bright Beginnings At-A-Glance" that synthesizes the organization's mission, vision, and services in an attractive spread. We polished and punched up their mission statement, shaped a succinct vision, and produced a five-year strategic plan, as well as an infrastructure plan, to guide the organization's growth and expansion.
Results
Our strategic plan won the M Marketer of the Year Award for a Strategic Plan on a Shoestring from the D.C. Chapter of the American Marketing Association. A panel of leaders in the marketing community selected the award winners for demonstrating solid strategy, innovation, and positive return on investment.
